Gentiana by RoadsideWe saw a lot of Gentiana. It is very interesting how this blue, deep flower (it is about as deep as a jonquil) can grow with so little stem and plant around it. The flower almost grows right out of the ground - often it will be lying on the ground. This specimen was found alongside the narrow dirt road we followed from Berwang to Namlos. June 16, 1967 |
