The Breithorn After settling into our campsite at Lauterbrunnen, we drove down to the end of the valley near Stechelberg. The road ended there and there were only intriquing paths and trails fanning out into the roadless mountains. The view of the snowclad Grosshorn and Breithorn was more commanding there and there were several more waterfalls. It looks like a tremendous place from which to take walks. June 4, 1967 |

Late Afternoon, Grosshorn and Breithorn As we watched into late afternoon, fluffy clouds moved in over the Grosshorn and Breithorn at the end of the Lauterbrunnen valley. The steep west wall of the canyon rises on the right of this photo. June 4, 1967
