Christmas Morning

After giving Jeff and family the early morning time, we joined them around their tree about mid-morning. We gathered around the girls to see them open their gifts.

Elyse had composed a song for Grandma and Granddad based on her observations on their trip at Thanksgiving. She played and sang it for us.

Uncle Mark's generous cash gifts to the girls generated a lot of excitement and plans for how to spend it.

Since both of the college girls are driving a good bit now, we thought it would be a good idea for them to have some tools they could put in the vehicles. Actually, Ashleigh was more impressed with the possibilities for her work as Resident Advisor: she gets questions about whether she has a tool for some task. We hadn't thought about that.

It was good to get all Jeff's family together by the tree.
