Visit to Bent Tree

October 29, 2019

With a contract for the sale of our Bent Tree house, so we made a trip up on October 29 to do some cleanup and repairs.

We enjoyed the long-familiar view of the mountain ridge to the north through the thinning leaves.

Last Night at Bent Tree

November 5-6, 2019

We had a beautiful day at Bent Tree for our cleanup-fixup chores. In the afternoon we got this nice colorful view of the ridge in the sun.

I spent a lot of time looking west as we approached sunset. That has always been my favorite time up there. 6:30pm.

The darkening sky started giving us oranges and reds with the blue background of the valley. 6:40pm.

With darkening, the blue valley background becomes more dramatic. 6:40pm

The glow around the sun spreads into its blue background 6:41pm.

The setting sun through the trees has always been a great inspiration to me. 6:42pm

A peaceful view to the west as we end the day's activities.

As the sun's light level drops, we can see the pink sky and blue valley more prominently. 6:43pm

We enjoyed the blessing of this sunset and settled in for our final night at the Bent Tree house. We had worked hard over the past few weeks to leave it clean and in proper repair, and in fact over the past six months for the needed repairs. We settled in for a peaceful night.

We returned on Friday, November 8, to complete the sale of the house to John and Jennifer Hull of Louisiana. We certainly hope that it is the kind of blessing to their family as it has been to ours.
