Mark Is Back to Building Movie Sets

The Covid crisis shut down the movie industry in Atlanta about the end of April, and they are just back to building current movie sets. Mark is construction foreman for the set construction supporting episodes of Black Lightning in its fourth season, a hi-tech sci-fi superhero type series.

This set has an elaborate framework of steel, so there was a lot of welding involved. Mark has had a crew on the order of 30 carpenters and steelworkers as I recall, and they are testing them for Covid 4 times a week and requiring masks full-time while they are working.

At right above is a round, clear conference table that floats up in the air as I understood it. The lighting in the set is quite elaborate.

Mark arrived at work early one morning and was the only one there. So he walked around the set-building area to video it - quite an amazing variety of settings. Near the end of the video is an earlier stage of the metal set shown in the photos above.
