Gibbs Gardens

March 22, 2014

We drove to Bent Tree on Friday afternoon, March 21, to check on the house and spend the night. We loved the colorful sunset through the yet bare trees.

We made the 30 min drive from the Bent Tree house, and on the entrance drive to Gibbs Gardens we were already seeing spectacular stands of jonquils, these backlighted by the morning sun.

Soon we were on hillsides covered with brilliant yellow jonquils.

There were several natural streams in the gardens, and this grass path leads up the hill from the bridge where Brenda is standing above.

The grass path took us on a winding trail up the hillside with lots of colorful collections of jonquils.
