Friday Evening

A number of us drove to Hiawassee for Friday night. We arrived about 7pm and this was the view of the Lake off our back balcony of the Chatuge Lodge.

The drive up from Atlanta was beautiful, with multiple shades of fresh pastel green on the mountainsides. This is a view of the Lake from the front of the Chatuge Lodge.

We watched the warm light of sunset on the lake from the third floor meeting room and from the chairs behind the Lodge as we caught up on conversations with our old friends. Thanks to Frank and Babs Gudger for getting us together and making the arrangements again for our accommodations here. We arrived too late to join the dinner group, but there was already a generous supply of desserts and snacks in our meeting room.
