Visit to Sweetwater Park

July 29, 2018

Jeff and family joined us for church on Sunday morning, and then Mark was able to come out for the nice dinner that Brenda had prepared. It was great to get us all together.
The girls wanted to go to Sweetwater Park again, so at about 5pm we were headed down the trail to Sweetwater Creek. We had had a good bit of rain, so the water was running pretty high.

Mark, Elyse and Jordan cross the millrace. That got us closer to the creek to see the shoals. There was a lot of rock showing, so there was some promise of rock-hopping opportunities later.

We always have to take a picture at the old factory (Manchester Mill) to prove we were there. Jordan, Elyse, Mark, Jeff and Marty. We had already lost Darla and Ashleigh who had decided to take another trail.
Once we got past the factory, it didn't take long for the girls to be out on the rocks.

Jordan makes it almost to midstream with a few hops.

Elyse and Jordan did make it all the way across Sweetwater Creek, mostly by rock-hopping.
Elyse seemed to be enjoying wading as well as rock-hopping.

We enjoyed the evening and the breakfast time together as a family and then had our prayer together as they departed for Pearl River. We look forward to the next visit.
