Ashleigh's Graduation from LSU Medical School
May 15, 2024
| Rod and Brenda traveled to Pearl River on May 14 to celebrate Ashleigh's graduation from Medical School. We enjoyed the evening at Radio Road with Jeff and Darla, and with Elyse who has finished her first year at LSU Baton Rouge.
Ashleigh referred to her Graduation Ceremony from the Medical School as her "Hooding" and it was separate from the larger graduation ceremony of the Health Sciences school on the next day. This Ceremony was scheduled for 1pm on May 15. It was scheduled at the Arena of the University of New Orleans. We were pleased to have local drivers for these New Orleans events. Elyse drove us and Darla to the UNO Arena. Ashleigh lives nearby and joined us outside the Arena.
It was indeed exciting to celebrate Ashleigh's completion of Medical School, a major achievement!

We got to see Ashleigh enter the Arena and watched her hooding ceremony by one of the faculty. The ceremony was impressive but took about two hours for the ~150 Medical School graduates.
| Our main opportunity for photos was on the Arena grounds after the ceremony. A priority was Ashleigh and her Grandmothers, Brenda Nave and Judy Moyle. |
Dr. Ashleigh Nave with her father Dr. Jeff Nave and grandfather Dr. Rod Nave. She commented about being the third Dr. Nave and of course we were very proud.

The UNO Arena where the Graduation was held was close to where Ashleigh, Jordan and Luke lived. After the event, Darla drove us by Ashleigh's residence on Allen Toussaint Blvd and on to Jordan & Luke's house.
| We were pleased to be able to visit Jordan and Luke at their house. It was very nice and well decorated. |
It was interesting to see Luke's working office. With his musical involvement and his work on computer and web applications, it seemed very appropriate.
