A light snow on January 23 reminds us of the blessing of a warm home.

We looked forward to the visit from Jeff and family on February 5. The visit included a trip to the Atlanta Aquarium.

The men of Mableton First Baptist enjoyed a men's retreat at The Ridges in Young Harris, GA on March 4-5.

We had an Easter celebration for the children of the community on March 26.

We enjoyed hearing about the family activities around Pearl River and rejoiced in the coming of spring in the Atlanta area.

We had a bon voyage luncheon for Bailey and Carole Richardson on April 6.

Our neighborhood owl visited on April 24.

This is a busy time in Pearl River with Ashleigh's approaching graduation and all the family activities.

Welcome to Mary Elizabeth Lassiter, born on May 6 in San Antonio to Mary and Will Lassiter.

Mother's Day, May 8.

We headed for Pearl River on May 7 to celebrate Mother's Day, Jeff's birthday and Ashleigh's graduation.

On Tuesday, May 10, we picked up Elyse and took her to the Sixth Ward Elementary School to play the lion in a drama for the children of that school

On Wednesday, May 11, we attended Ashleigh's graduation from Pearl River High School.

On Thursday, May 12, we went to Riverside Elementary School for awards presentations in Elyse's fifth grade class.

In between the events, we enjoyed life with the family around Pearl River.

On Monday, May 16, we attended Elyse's promotion celebration from Riverside Elementary to Creekside Middle School.

We continued to enjoy family activities and events through May.

On May 31 we headed for Arkansas to visit with family and traveled from Newport to Benton on June 3 for the wedding of Shirley and Rick.

June 5 marked the beginning of Vacation Bible School with the undersea theme "Submerged".

On June 17-18 we had a men's retreat with Iglesia de Mableton at Bent Tree.

We had a visit from a hummingbird hawk moth, June 22, after not seeing one for a couple of years.

Ecuador was a big part of the family's agenda again this year with Ashleigh's four week mission trip starting June 13 with training and ministry in New York, and Jordan's direct trip to Quito on July .

We again hosted a picnic for the congregation of Iglesia de Mableton at the Bent Tree pavilion on Saturday, July 23.

After the morning service on July 24, we filled backpacks for our backpack outreach this week. In the evening we celebrated Lana's 5th anniversary as Children's Minister.

On August 26 we headed out to Seattle and boarded the Crown Princess on August 27 for the beginning of an Inside Passage tour. Our first destination was Juneau, then Skagway. Then we toured Glacier Bay and then moved on to Ketchikan the next day.

On September 4 we drove down to Mt. Ranier and spent a full day circling the great mountain. On September 6 we did a Seattle City Tour.

On October 1 we celebrated the wedding of Porfirio Hernandez and Rosa Romero.

On October 21 we went to the Georgia Baptist College of Nursing alumni day at Mercer.

Friday afternoon, October 21, we went on to the Georgia Tech BSU Alumni gathering at Hiawassee.

On October 28 we were off to Denver for Laura Nave's wedding. On October 31 we left Denver and drove on I-70 across Colorado and Utah to reach Moab, Utah. We explored the Arches National Park. Then on Tuesday, November 1 we again visited Arches, including the Windows section, and then moved to Canyonlands. On Wednesday we visited Capitol Reef National Park. Then we drove down scenic Utah Hwy 12 to Cannonville. On Wednesday morning we explored Kodachrome Basin State Park just south of Cannonville. Then we took a tour of most of the View Points in Bryce Canyon National Park.
