Glacier National Park

View of Two of the Glaciers

This is a view roughly southward from the Going-to-the-Sun Road well above the loop in the Garden Wall section. Two glaciers can be seen on the mountains. Note the long cascading waterfall leading from the bottom of the lower one. August 20, 1982.

Flowered Meadow with Glaciers Background

This is a view roughly southwest from the Going-to-the-Sun Road well above the loop in the Garden Wall section. I liked the wildflowers in the foreground with the background of the rugged mountains with glaciers. August 20, 1982.

Jeff and Mark Can't Pass up a Snow Patch

Approaching Logan Pass we found several patches of unmelted snow. The boys wanted to play in every snow patch and I wanted to photograph everything, so it made for a slow trip over the mountain. This was taken from the Going-to-the-Sun Road at a point close to Logan Pass. August 20, 1982.

Mountain Goat on Ledge

These rather unafraid white mountain goats hang out around Logan Pass. This one bounded effortlessly up the steep rock wall to where he now stands. August 20, 1982.

Mountain Goat Near Logan Pass

These rather unafraid white mountain goats hang out around Logan Pass. This one was hanging out in this rocky patch with a little grass, not seeming to mind all the people about. August 20, 1982.
