Susie Owsley's diary: Frank Owsley leaves on February 16 and goes to Camp Crouder, Mo. By April 14 he was at Camp Murphy, Fl as a Corporal. On June 30 he was in Reno, Nevada and then on to Fresno, CA. On October 24 he wrote to say that he was going overseas. On November 9, his wife Mae got a cablegram from him saying "All well and safe."

Edgar was moved to Denver, Colorado on October 18 and then to Frederick, Oklahoma. Shortly afterward he was shipped out to England.
