May 8: Germany surrenders.

May 27: Dorothy went to Owensboro to visit and find work. Worked at Woolworth.

August 14: Japan surrenders.

August 18: Naomi and Philippe traveled to Owensboro. They and Dorothy left for home August 26, and were transported to Bowling Green to meet Leland and Pearl Bunch to travel with them.

September 16: Frank left Berlin, Germany. In Stone, England Sept 21 on way home.

September 22: Edgar arrives in Boston from Germany. Made it home to Newport, Arkansas on September 30.

November 7: Edgar and Sue Varble married.
