Brenda's Recollection of Denise's Birth

Denise was born on July 29, 1952 at Dr. F. B. Clark's Clinic in Austell. Brenda was 11 years old and she and Bonnie had gone to Rome to spend the week with Uncle Roy. Uncle Roy brought them home to the house on the hill off River Road. As they drove up in the yard, Uncle Roy exclaimed "She's had that baby!" because there were diapers hanging on the line. Grannie Dawson had come to stay with Marjorie and help her with baby Denise and had done a load of wash to hang on the outside line.
