Jeff Discovers Snow

This is Jeff's first experience with snow. He is nine months old. This was taken just outside our carport. February 16,1969 Jeff's first reaction was part of what we called his "hand-to-mouth" reflex. He grabbed a handful of snow and put it in his mouth.

It was neat for us to see Jeff in full exploration mode with something he had never seen. He sat on Brenda's knee and felt of the snow on the leaves.

Jeff savors a mouthfull of snow. It seems a satisfying enough experience that it probably strengthened his "hand-to-mouth" reflex.
