City Views, Atlanta

October, 1994

Above is a view of the skyline of Atlanta along Rod's route to work, taken from McDaniel Street and I-20. At left is the Georgia State Capitol building from the east side. This magnificent old oak tree makes a nice foreground for the gold dome.

When we head down Six Flags Drive toward the expressway, we get a view of the skyline of the city of Atlanta. Sometimes the sunrise is quite spectacular.

It is hard to get a view without utility poles and wires, but this view from a small shopping center on the east side of the street is fairly clear.

On this particular October morning, I was able to watch the sun come up over the city and then go behind some low-hanging clouds, giving a lot of color.
