RA Family Fishing Trip to Bent Tree

July 5, 1997

We planned a special RA and family outing to Bent Tree for fishing and exploring on Bent Tree's Lake Tamarack. We started with breakfast at the church.

It was quite a gathering we had on the Bent Tree Dam with Lake Tamarack in the background. This was after we had spent some time fishing and swimming and decided to gather for a group photo. I can't come up with all the names, but from left on back row are Derinda Moore, Deanna and Mark Reyes, David Moore with young passenger, Brenda Nave, Michele and James Darden (their children, James,Jr. and Julia are on front row), Johnny Huffman, Doyle Wilhite and Stacy Gibson. At left in second row I can see Robert and Jon Cooler.

This is earlier, over by the beach, when we had a light lunch.

We had set up a table in the picnic area in view of the beach.

James Darden takes part in the fishing, as does James, Jr. Robert and Jon Cooler seem to be having fun fishing from the dock.

Johnny Huffman acts as fishing coach and line untangler.

James Jordan and Doyle Wilhite join in the fishing from the dock.

These girls prefer to fish from the grassy bank.

Jon Cooler fishes from the shallow water of the beach. Others prefer the end of the dock.

Deanna Reyes and Derinda Moore join the fishing, but looks like Johnny is helping bait a hook.

Jon Cooler, Devin Powell, and Adam Massey look like experienced fishermen now. It was a good family outing to Bent Tree and seemed to be enjoyed by all.
