Euclase

BeAlSiO4(OH)

These samples of euclase are displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Euclase is a silicate mineral which contains beryllium with the composition BeAlSiO4(OH). The sample at left is about 5 cm across and is from Karoi, Hurungwe, Zimbabwe.
