This sample of milarite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Milarite is a silicate mineral with six of the big-8 elements plus beryllium with the composition (K,Na)Ca₂(Be,Al)₃Si₁₂O₃₀.2H₂O. The sample at left is about 20 cm across and is from Guanajuato, Mexico. It is described as milarite with orthoclase.

The milarite sample at right is about 5 cm across and is from Val Giuv, Tavetsch, Grissons, Switzerland. It is described as milarite with chlorite. The milarite sample at left is about 2 cm across and is from Jagaurassu, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
