Cu₄SO₄(OH)₆

This sample of brochantite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Brochantite is a sulfate mineral of copper with the composition Cu₄SO₄(OH)₆. The sample at left is about 10 cm across and is from Shattuck shaft, Bisbee, Arizona. The sample is described as brochanite with antlerite.
