Ashleigh Carolyn Nave was born at 12:53 PM on March 23, 1998. Rod and Brenda made the trip to New Orleans to see her on March 24 when she was about 24 hours old. Ashleigh weighed 7lb 2 oz and was 19 1/2" long.

Ashleigh showed remarkable changes in just three days. On this day she was looking around and trying to focus her eyes on the pattern of the couch. Although we understood that she could not yet see much, she was certainly absorbed with trying. She struck me as calm, and very much interested in all the things she was experiencing.
