Pearl River Trip

Monday, July 30, 2007

We gathered on Monday afternoon to celebrate Jordan's and Rod's birthdays. It was sort of an average date since Rod's was on July 21 and Jordan's on August 6. Jordan is keeping her smile closed tight since she has just lost the second of her two front teeth.
A present is very nice, but what is really neat is to be surrounded by your family and the enjoyment of your three granddaughters.
Darla had made fancy cupcakes for Jordan and a strawberry-rhubarb pie for Rod. Judy and Dave Moyle came over to join the celebration.
Jordon opens her gift of matching outfits for her and her doll.
Ashleigh and Jordan show off their matching outfits with their dolls. Later Ashleigh spends a little time with Elyse before bedtime.

They put flowers in Elyse's hair and she sat out front with Granddad, waiting for our trip to breakfast. The flowers and yard looked wonderful - Jeff and Darla and the girls had worked hard on them.
Rod managed to collect the girls in front of the house for our trip to Cracker Barrell for breakfast. Grandma Brenda joins in below.

Elyse seriously ponders her move in checkers with Mom outside Cracker Barrell. We had an enjoyable breakfast together before our launch back to Atlanta.

We gathered together outside Cracker Barrell for a couple of final pictures. After circling the family for our family prayer, we hit the road north for our trip home, already looking forward to the next visit.
