Thanksgiving Day

November 23, 2017

Elyse and Jordan are in the kitchen with Grandma Brenda early on Thanksgiving morning starting the food preparation.

Uncle Mark joined us about 10:30am and Elyse and Ashleigh join him at the table. Jeff got up to run and is settling down to his breakfast.

Mark and Jeff consult today's communication standard, a cellphone.

Marty dropped by to deliver the turkey he had cooked during the night.

Marty had seasoned the turkey with a latticework of bacon. Jordan takes on the nicely cooked bacon framework.

Jordan was willing to share her bacon bonanza with Uncle Mark.

Mark greets Sherry as she arrives. She joins the meal preparation.

The ladies continue with the preparation of the meal.

The final stages of cooking the turkey are complete, and now Jeff and Mark take on the carving of the bird.

We are in the final stages of setting the Thanksgiving meal. Ashleigh and Mark bring fresh rolls to the table.

Elyse, Jordan and Ashleigh look admiringly and hungrily? at the Tnanksgiving table.

Jordan, Mark and Ashleigh are the first to the table. We're finally collecting the family for dinner.

We are finally at the point of celebrating Thanksgiving Dinner with the family. Brenda, Jeff, Darla, Elyse, Sherry and Jordan in this left side view.

Rod got pried out from behind the camera for these shots with Jeff and Mark.

We were glad to see Andy and Alice when they dropped by and took the opportunity for a photo with Brenda, Mark and Jeff.

Marty wore his holiday suit into work, so we thought we might as well get a picture of Jeff with him in similar garb.

Most groups do their crazy picture after they do straight ones, but we actually did this one before the well-behaved ones.

We wanted to get a picture of the girls with Uncle Mark. We are always glad when he can get loose to join us.

Later the girls got into a lively game of Scrabble with Aunt Sherry, which seemed to be enjoyed by all.
