Janet Kay Nave Nix

Janet Kay Nix (74) died at her residence in Brownfield December 28, 2020.

She is survived by her husband Gary Nix, a son James Nix and wife Sheri; a daughter Susan Nix all of Brownfield; six grandchildren and a brother Leland Nave of Calico Rock, Arkansas.

Janet was Rod and Philippe's niece, and we mostly remember her from our youth in Arkansas.

We became aware of her death from an email on February 17, 2021 from daughter Susan Nix in Brownfield. Susan informed us that Janet had died at home of lung cancer. This also led us to the information that Janet's Mother, Sue Varble Nave Cockrill had died on July 9, 2019.

This was one of my favorite pictures of her and her father, my brother Edgar, in 1956.

There are many memories of our youth of course, but another one that sticks out to me was riding our mare Kate on the farm. We didn't often ride like this, but it makes memories.

Brenda and Rod had a brief time to visit with Janet on our visit to Edgar in Brownfield, Texas in 2007.
