Elyse on the Homecoming Court

October 19. Jeff escorts Elyse as the 10th Grade member of the Homecoming Court. The football game usually associated with it was played two days earlier because one of this summer's many hurricanes was predicted to hit on Friday, but it missed the New Orleans area. Since the Homecoming celebration was shifted till Friday, Jeff was able to be there to proudly escort his daughter.

October 25 was a day of recognition and appreciation for Pastor Ian Bowers who has served as our Transitional Pastor for about a year. We started with a prayer with the Elders and Deacons.

Eddie Good made a presentation of a picture of the stained glass window with signatures and blessings from members, along with a love offering to Ian and April.

We listened with appreciation as Pastor Ian preached his last sermon to the church in view of Pastor Doug Thompson's joining us for his first Sunday on November 1.
