Awana Group Picture and Continuing Fall Awana

We had a lively group of Awana students this evening, so it was a good time to do our group picture.
As a reward for posing so beautifully for the top photo above, we give them the opportunity to do "crazy" pose.
This was a remarkable night in Awana with lots of awards for Scripture memorization in both the Sparks (red) and T&T (green) groups. The students had been busy memorizing and reciting their Bible verses.

 | Storytime has the boys and girls learning a Psalm of thanksgiving. Next week is Thanksgiving Day. |
Each student has a word or phrase from the Psalm. |  |

Finally we put our words on the floor to show the complete Psalm of Thanksgiving. |  |

 | We started the meeting with two Sparks awards and two Truth & Training awards. |
For the story time tonight, Becky had a box of wrapped pieces of Jesus' nativity scene. Each boy and girl were given small flashlights to shine on the nativity pieces. |  |

Becky reads from the nativity story in the Bible while the boys and girls shine their flashlights on the figures in the nativity scene. |  |

The leaders joined in with the spirit of observing the nativity scene. It appeared to be a good experience for the boys and girls.
