Thanksgiving Day

 | Thanksgiving morning dawned a very nice day, and at about 10, after breakfast, Darla had all three of her daughters with her. |
| Relaxing after breakfast, Luke and Brenda join Darla, Ashleigh, Elyse and Jordan at the kitchen island. It seems to be a natural gathering place. |  |
 | About 11:30, Uncle Mark arrived and greeted his three nieces. |
| About this time, the women are getting very busy with the preparation of the Thanksgiving meal. Elyse is busy preparing a tray of seasoned potatoes. |  |
 | Ashleigh cooks at the stove while Elyse continues her dish. |
| Brenda, Elyse, and Ashleigh busily prepare food while Jeff, Marty, and I watch with growing appetite and interest. |  |
 | Ashleigh continues her preparation of a large dish of mac and cheese. She adds different kinds of cheese. |
 | Jordan takes on the setting and decoration of the table. She is folding the cloth napkins into creative shapes. |
| After all this work, Jordan and Ashleigh take a short break on the couch. But they didn't stay idle long! |  |
Darla takes on the preparation of three delicious chocolate pies using some tasty chocolate that Marty had provided. One was made with a gluten-free crust. They didn't last long! |  |
 | For another short break in the meal preparation, Elyse, Jordan and Ashleigh pose by the Japanese Maple tree outside. It's one of our favorite backgrounds at this time of year. |
Elyse is involved in one of the last steps in preparation for the Thanksgiving feast, the making of a very nice snack tray. Note on the right the large empty turkey platter, an indication that the Thanksgiving turkey is not far behind!
