Summer Awana at MFBC

This Awana session starts with a Bible Study on the floor of the Depot, led by Becky Ridgway. Theresa Lamb observes.

After a brief devotional on service, the Awana children and leaders got busy unpacking the boxes of backpacks for service to Mabbleton Elementary School and the community.

With backpacks out of the boxes, the children helped to carry them to the sanctuary to place on the steps for the Sunday celebration and prayer over them.

With the abundance of backpacks, the front steps of the sanctuary were being filled.

With almost 250 backpacks, the sanctuary steps were filled end-to-end.

The children worked enthusiastically and finished the distribution of the backpacks quickly.

Awana met for the first time in the new meeting room on the children's hall. Our starting exercise was with building games

With the central carpet and tables, the new meeting room worked well for games and for study.

It was good to see the children enjoying the construction games together.

Becky led the entire Awana group in a special large group session which celebrated our new location.

Everyone enjoyed the treats of this special celebration night.

We end this session of Awana with a big group lesson time led by Becky.

This Awana session was started with a game of "back-to-school" bingo.

The Awana students had made great progress in the past two weeks. We had 3 Sparks and 6 T&T awards!

In the large group time for Sparks, they built the text of John 3:16 from blocks with the separated words.

The opening game time was devoted to Bible puzzles on this occasion. Tony Mode encourages a large puzzle of the books of the Bible.

We enjoyed the large group of Awana children as we move toward awards time.
