May Visit to New Orleans

After the ferry ride, Rod and Brenda, Ashleigh and Jordan, Jonathan and Jessica continued on our exploration of the riverwalk in New Orleans.
This particular sculpture caught the imagination of Ashleigh and Jordan last summer when we were here, and they were still keen on playing and climbing on it. Jonathan and Jessica happily joined in.

Darla does double piggyback duty. It takes a lot of stamina to be the mother of two active girls!  |

Jeff was doing a renewal of marriage vows for a couple who had been married 50 years. It gave Jeff and Darla a chance for a night out and dinner, and Grandma and Granddad enjoyed keeping the girls. After a couple of days with us, they seemed completely comfortable with us and happily settled into bed after playing for a while. |
