New Flowers and a Black Widow
March 15, 2003
One of the Bradford pear trees in the Eubanks yard was blooming profusely. The blooms are about and inch across.
The forsythia in Mark's yard was blooming, and had drops of water from last night's rain. |

Mark had picked up the broken top of the water meter housing and taken it to his shop for he and Rod to try to weld it. When we turned it over on the shop table, we found this fine specimen of a black widow spider hanging on to the underside.

We played with the spider to try to get a good image of its "hour glass" and finally it escaped over the side of the shop table and suspended itself.
