New Deacons Reflect the Face of Our Ministry

The deacon body of Mableton First Baptist gathered for an ordination council for five new deacons: Rene Vela and Francisco Nava from the Hispanic congregation, and Scott Ridgway, Kirby Shaffer and James Darden from the English-speaking congregation. We were bringing ten deacons total onto the active deacon body including Alan Boyd, Jim Lance, Mark Reyes and Tommy Shoun from the English-speaking congregation plus Guillermo Marquina from the Hispanic congregation.
