Bent Tree Trip
March 14 , 2008
 | We had a pleasant trip to the Bent Tree house on Friday morning. The leaf-covered mountainside west of the house showed no buds or flowers yet. |
The wild turkeys came walking up the driveway to visit us. | |
By early afternoon the weather moved in and we were immersed in cloud at this height on the mountain. We had hard rain and wind, and it was a neat night to sleep up on the mountain. Mark called in the morning to make sure we were alright because a severe windstorm had blown across his shop just south of downtown Atlanta. Then we learned that a tornado had hit the downtown area.
