Awana Racer Derby

The cars are gathered for our first annual Awana Racer Derby at Mableton First Baptist after starting the Awana program in September 2009. The inset shows one of the closer races. Both girls and boys participated, and you can certainly see a feminine touch in some of the designs, in contrast to our formerly all boys RA Racer derbies.

The Brock family watches from one side of the track. Kylan Brock, center, has a car entered as does his brother Kamren. Michael Gilman at far right also has a car entered. The lanyards identify those with a car in the race.

Lexi Hobgood won the overall "Best of Show" competition for style.
