Big Canoe and Bent Tree Visit

We decided to drive up to Big Canoe on Sunday afternoon to hear the Georgia Festival Chorus again as they performed at the Big Canoe Chapel. The natural wood acoustics of the chapel made the music even more wonderful than it had been at Smyrna First Baptist a little time back. Frank Boggs recently celebrated his 85th birthday, but is going strong as the founding director. We have wonderful memories of his music as far back as First Baptist Atlanta around 1970. He remembered Dr. Roy McClain fondly. |
We had a wonderful sunset view as we drove up the steep slope of Chestnut Cove Trail toward the house. I had to jump out and catch this shot just as you round the curve above the steepest rise.
