Squirrel-Proof Bird Feeder?

Dozens if not hundreds of bird feeders claim to be "squirrel-proof", including this one.

The aerobatic squirrel had his ground collaborator - or maybe just opportunistic bystander - who chomped away at the seed the upper one dropped.

The chickadees love this feeder, and I had hoped it would escape the attention of the squirrels, but that was not to be.

I decided to walk out an disturb his lunch, and immediately got his attention.

He made an agile scramble over to the pole before jumping to a nearby tree.
