Water Lilies at Gibbs Gardens

June 12, 2014

We dropped by Gibbs Gardens on the way up to check on the Bent Tree house. It was a rainy morning, but the rain we had just had on the pads of the lilies above seemed to enhance their color.

We wandered around this series of small ponds and found these wonders in the water.

This picture may be a bit puzzling. The two lilies and their pads are on dark water and appear almost suspended. But that dark water mirrors not only the lilies but also the tall blue flowers that stand behind them. You can see some of those blue flowers in front of Brenda above.
