Awana at Mableton First Baptist
April 13, 2022
As we gather for awards time, the boys and girls are seated on the floor of the Depot. The first award goes to Sparks.
| For this week we have two boys with T&T awards and one girl with a Sparks award for learning scripture verses. |

We try to start each Awana meeting with a fun exercise for the boys and girls, and this week it was the cup stacking game.
| They enjoyed the cup stacking and became more creative as time progressed. |
The champion of cup stack height!
| Snacktime is enjoyed before we enter our program time with small group time alternating with large group time for Sparks and T&T. |
Awards time for Scripture learning with one Sparks and two T&T students receiving awards.

| The opening game for tonight was bingo. We have several bingo games with playful themes. Theresa Lamb, Melissa Little, and Barbara Porter observe and direct the game. |
The bingo game rewards those who come early and occupies the time before snack time.
After game, snack, pledges and awards, we have the small groups for learning scripture verses. This shows an example of the large group following that where Becky Ridgway tells a Bible story and makes its application to life.
| Becky's story was about a personal application of John 3:16 and then the boys and girls were making their own posters with their name in it. Theresa Lamb and Melissa Little work with these two groups. |
Lorraine Shaw works with these three students as they make their personal John 3:16 posters.
| Making the John 3:16 posters with their own name in them made the lesson practical for them. It also gave them something to take home to their families. Eimy had just studied John 3:16 to finish her Flight 3:16 introduction to Awana, so she got a double dose of that key scripture verse. |
