Radio Road Progress after the Christmas Celebration

We had enjoyed Christmas morning with the all Jeff's family, our traditional Christmas celebration at Grammy Moyle's, and further visiting at Jeff and Darla's and celebration of Elyse's birthday. Rod and Brenda enjoyed the first time of staying in the nice suite that they had prepared. All this must have cranked Jeff up to jump into a new project of proceeding with construction of the stairway to the huge attic of Radio Road.

This took him into the workroom which did not have the lovely finishing touches they had produced in the main body of the house. It involved the use of the longest 4x4 timbers I have ever seen to start the enclosure of the stair to the huge attic of the building. The plan involved greatly enlarging the opening in the ceiling for the eventual construction of a walking stairway into the attic.

The next step was to add finishing and strengthening woodwork around the opening in the attic floor. Once that was accomplished he could begin finishing the ceiling around the attic stairway with the revolution plywood they had used for the ceilings of the rest of the house.
