Remodeling our Backyard Sheds
April 12, 2026
We were seeking to close our rented storage shed in Mableton and engaged Mark to remodel our two backyard sheds to hold that stored material that we wanted to keep and discard the remainder. It was a major task that Mark worked hard on with the help of Rhonda and some help from Rod.
| Our plan is to transfer our storage to our two sheds in the back of the yard. First we have to move the current contents of the sheds. April 13. |
We had to remove the exterior walls between the two sheds because leaks from the roofs had rotted them. Mark did most of the work, first removing the metal shelf racks that had held lumber between the sheds. Then he removed the walls.
| We had to move most of the present contents of the shed outside to prepare for the new storage plan. |
We had to replace the walls between the sheds, and it was amazing that Mark could almost do it single-handedly. From all his set-building work for the movies, he knew exactly how to do it, and did all the fastening work with Rod and Rhonda contributing just some help propping up and positioning of the wall sheets of RBB.
| Mark and Rhonda escorted Brenda down to observe the work in progress. |
As Brenda observed the process, the dog Punkin showed a lot of interest as well.
| With Mark's hard work we had the new walls between the sheds and the conduit of electricity to the back shed. April 15. |
With structure and interior work on the sheds, their contents were spread on the back yard. April 17.
| The work on the sheds gave us a good view of the back of the house and the back porch structure that Mark had designed and built earlier. April 22. |
