The dating of these in 1942 is a guess, which would make Edgar 19. These were prewar pictures, and he joined the Army Air Corps in November of 1942 and shipped out to England late in 1943. Susie's diary says that he joined the Air Corps on November 1 and went to Waco, Texas.
