Family time with the boys in the fall

1971

Maybe all boys like to wrestle, but certainly Mark and Jeff did. Some of our favorite times were just rolling around the den floor in mock battle.

It was getting into cooler weather, and their Winnie-the-Pooh pajamas work well for playtime before settling in for the night.

Wrestling and horseplay is fine with Dad, but they are more likely to cuddle with Mom, especially near bedtime.

Mark loved playing on the recliner chair in the den.

Mark liked his little stool. It's inscription was apt: "This little stool is mine, I use it all the time. To reach the things I couldn't, and lots of things I shouldn't!"

A cardboard box was a good toy. The golf ball didn't last long though - one throw and it somehow disappeared.

In December, our family time was more and more around the fireplace.

The closet in the small bedroom has a raised floor and makes a great playhouse for Jeff and Mark. Of course you have to start by throwing out all the stuff that is stored there.
