More of the braided rivers

August 11, 1992

Nearing the end of our trip, we took another look at a wild braided river and the hills beyond. Note that there is nothing manmade in the entire field of view! That is a part of the charm of Alaska.

Wide gravel bars are formed from the glacial debris carried by the rivers.

Looking back to one of the low bridges we crossed on the braided river.

Returning to Polychrome Pass, we found the view more subdued, but no less spectacular.
