Ribosomal RNA (rRNA)

The ribonucleic acid (RNA) contained in the ribosomes is directly involved in the manufacture of proteins in living cells by a process called "translation" That translation follows the pattern for the needed protein that has been produced in the form of mRNA by transcription from the information in a cell's DNA.
