MFBC Provides Snacks at Mableton Elementary School

October 28, 2022

In addition to our ten contributions of "Trunk or Treat" we operated a free concession with popcorn and snowcones.

We transported our popcorn machine and snowcone machine over to the front of the school, right across from where the "Trunk or Treat" vehicles were set up. The line is forming at about ten minutes before the start time of 6PM.

Soon a big crowd had formed for snowcones and popcorn. At the table serving the flavored syrup over the crushed ice are Leigh and Lee Miller and Pastor Doug Thompson. Out front of the table Amee Wentz helped. On the snowcone machine to produce the crushed ice are Chase Queen, Xander Reyes and Rhett Little. Keith Weaver is handing out popcorn.

Our MFBC group stayed busy in serving. Leigh and Lee Miller were busy with the snowcones, and Kelley Brandon, Keith and Betsy Weaver, and Becky Ridgway were busy providing popcorn.

We were certainly delighted to provide popcorn to this lovely group of small children who were brought together by a lady who may have been their teacher.

Leigh and Lee continue to provide snowcones to pleased children.

The process of giving and receiving here was a happy one for the whole evening.

The crowd at the snowcones and popcorn persisted until the end of the occasion.

This is a view across the road from our popcorn and snowcone concession. From the start at 6PM to the end at about 7:30PM, the area was crowded with costumed and celebrating children and adults. Immediately across the road is where our ten trunk or treat vehicles were. There was another comparable group from school parents and others beyond us. The Christian Church also had a concession and the PTA had a food area down from us where they were selling pizza and hotdogs.

This is a wide view of our area of the parking lot where our ten Trunk or Treat vehicles were placed. This crowd was typical of the whole time of the celebration.
