This is the section of the book "Reminiscenses of the Speer Family", by John Grove Speer, on Susie E. Speer Owsley one of his granddaughters.
p179 "William Albert Owsley, born June 29, 1867, and Susan Elizabeth (Susie) Owsley, born April 12, 1874, were married December 2, 1896. They have a little boy babe, whose name is Reginald Orson Owsley, born November 26, 1897. He is a blacksmith by profession and is engaged in that business in Owensboro at the present time. He is an intelligent, social, Christian gentleman, worthy of the esteem and respect of all. With his good wife, mother and partner, may they take courage while encountering the besetment common to mortals, and win for themselves a name that shall never be taken out of the Lamb's Book of Life; and may the grace of God and His Christ fill their hearts with joy and praise and love, to whom be praise forever and forever."
