1994

January started sadly with the death of Brenda's Mother, Marjorie Thomas, on January 3. We had enjoyed a wonderful Christmas gathering and a New Year's day dinner with her. The family gathering brought us all together to celebrate her life.

We had a gathering of the Georgia Tech BSU alumni at the Petty's on February 9.

On Valentine's Day, Jeff made a surprise trip to Atlanta to propose to Darla.

Brenda fell and broke her kneecap on February 24 and wound up in GBH where she works.

Spring activities included a visit with Anne Newton, and Rod & Mark's marathon effort to fix pipe breaks at Bent Tree.

In April we got to meet Darla's parents, Dave and Judy, and to spend time with them at Bent Tree.

Darla is named Coach of the Year for Clayton County for soccer.

In May, the ladies of our church gave a beautiful bridal shower for Darla.

We took the RAs fishing on a nearby lake on May 21.

In June, Mark and friends built a second storage shed in our back yard.

On June 14, we left for a trip to Newport, Arkansas to visit family.

Wedding shower at the Moyle's on June 18.

Wanda and her Acteens from Albany, Oregon arrived on June 20 for the Acteen Convention.

We traveled to New Orleans for Jeff and Darla's wedding on August 6.

We visited Mark on the set of the Andersonville movie on October 1

We enjoyed a campout at Bent Tree with the RAs in November.

In December we had a second chance to go to the San Francisco area since Rod had been invited to give a talk to a Physics Teacher Alliance meeting in Santa Rosa, just north of San Francisco. After the meeting we drove over to Yosemite to see it in the snow.
