Arno Penzias

An American physicist, radio astronomer and Nobel laureate in physics who is co-discoverer of the cosmic microwave background radiation along with Robert Woodrow Wilson, which helped establish the Big Bang theory of cosmology.

The Nobel Prize-winning scientist who with Wilson discovered the cosmic background radiation reacted with the statement:

"The best data we have are exactly what I would have predicted, had I nothing to go on but the five Books of Moses, the Psalms, the Bible as a whole."

Perhaps one of the passages he had in mind was Psalm 8:3-4.
