In Remembrance of 9/11/01

September 13, 2003

At Kennesaw Mountain the Royal Ambassadors from First Baptist Mableton stopped at the Field of Flags. 3300 flags had been placed at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park in remembrance of the casualties of 9/11.

A short "RA Leader's minute" and devotional on our knees in remembrance of those who died in the 9/11 attack. We reflected on the fact that "religion" is not necessarily a good thing, and in this remembrance generated enough hatred to murder over 3000 innocent persons. But following Jesus should be profoundly different, with Jesus' teaching to love our neighbor as ourselves providing us the direction for the way we treat every other human being.

Each man and boy went to one flag and got on their knees to pray for the families of the victims of the 9/11 attack.
