Christmas Day at the Moyle's

December 25, 2017

A highlight of the Christmas season is to get together the nine grandchildren of the Moyle family as part of our Christmas Day celebration. Back row: Jordan Nave, Ashleigh Nave. Middle row: Jonathan Ringo, Elyse Nave, Jessica Ringo, Lindsey Moyle, Caleb Wells. Front row: Bethany Moyle, Josiah Wells.

Elyse and Jordan model their Christmas scarves and hats by Grammy Moyle's nice Christmas tree as we gather for the traditional Christmas family gathering there.

After our Christmas morning visit to Jeff and family, we went to the Moyles about 10:30. After breakfast there we gathered in the living room for family gift exchanging. Here Bethany, Jordan, Lindsey and Caleb are opening gifts.

Jeff, Darla and Josiah watch the gift opening over on the fireplace side.

The gift exchange is in full swing. Ashleigh, Bethany, Jordan, Lindsey, Caleb and Elyse.

Bethany and Jordan, Elyse and Ashleigh. This group of sisters and brothers and cousins seem to get along so well together. Hopefully this time of all growing up together will produce many treasured memories.

One of Josiah's gifts was a boxing dummy. Rod and Jeff put it together and inflated it in the afternoon, and Josiah and Caleb are trying it out.

The Ringo family arrived and we had another gathering around the fireplace and tree. With Jessica Ringo, Ashleigh Nave, Elyse Nave, Caleb Wells, Josiah Wells, Lindsey Moyle, Bethany Moyle, and Jordan Nave, we have eight of the nine grandchildren here. Jeff and Debbie look on.

Everyone enjoyed another round of gift giving with Tom and Debbie and family.

There was time for just relaxing for Jordan, Lindsey and Bethany. This was the trio that held the midline on the Pearl River High soccer team last year.

That brought us to the time of getting a picture of all the grandkids.

Might as well include a crazy one.

Debbie, Darla and Jeff show that the adults were in on the stocking exchange as well as the kids.

All the stockings are down from the mantle and there is a lot of fruit showing in the room.

Then there was fruit flying all about the room as they were juggling it in different ways. And we were joking about it because Grammy had made a special trip to Rouses to pick out large, colorful fruit for the stockings.

With the colorful fruit and other nice small gifts, the stocking time continued as a pleasant family tradition.

A nice, relaxing time for the family.

All nine grandchildren are gathered in the front room, and every one of them is absorbed in some phone or other piece of electronics.

It was funny to see each of them involved with an electronic device. That's today's youth. But they had done a lot of other things during the day, including our group walk around the neighborhood.
