Christmas Morning at Jeff and Darla's

December 25, 2017

We gave Jeff and family time for their early morning of Christmas day, but then that was our first stop to share gifts with them on Christmas morning. We were pleased to get a picture of Jordan, Elyse and Ashleigh by their Christmas tree.

They showed us the signs that Mom and Dad had made up to position by their gifts for Christmas morning.

Jordan was pleased to get the guitar case she had wanted. It works well now for us to let them state a gift preference, but then add a bit of secretiveness to it. We took it out of their attic to wrap it and bring it with a lot of bad jokes like "She'll never guess what this is!

Elyse wanted a big songbook for piano so she wouldn't run out of songs to play. We ordered this one and were surprised at how big a tome it was - it should keep her busy!

Ashleigh's wish was for a sports watch to keep track of running, etc. It was impressive in that it would talk to her phone.

How about this for and unusual Christmas gift - a Bible in Arabic! Ashleigh was quite impressed by her experience with Arabic speakers in New York last summer, and was taking an Arabic course at Tulane.

Elyse was pleased with the riding pants we were able to get with Darla's help and insight. Elyse is still enjoying her horseback lessons.

It was indeed a pleasure to be able to share a bit of Christmas morning with Jeff and Darla and the girls.
